iPad Setup Instructions

iPAD MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Any iPad that runs iOS 15 or above will work as part of the BYOD program. To find out the software version, go to "Settings - General - About - Software Version". We recommend iOS 15 and above as this is still under active support from Apple and will work with the latest App Store apps.

Parents may wish to purchase a new iPad from any retailer, including JB Hi-Fi, Officeworks or Apple.

Restrictions and screentime must not be set. If you are concerned about your child's iPad use, please contact a classroom teacher to discuss options. Teachers are skilled experts in this area.

If accessing or purchasing an iPad is a problem, please contact the school office to discuss options.

ADDING AN iPAD TO THE SCHOOL NETWORK
The following is required to be completed at home BEFORE your child's iPad can be used at school. This software is required in order to ensure the school wifi settings are correctly applied and the internet is accessed safely at school.

a) Create an Apple IDThis step only needs to be completed once. Use your child's school email address and your mobile phone number.

b) If Family Sharing is enabled, we require parents to turn off "Approve to buy" - https://support.apple.com/en-au/HT201089 All apps used at school are free and any purchased apps will be provided free of charge. If parents do not wish their child to use their AppleID, please see step a.
